We would like to explain recent problems with our website and game servers. The reason of those problems is that our server wasn't properly secured. This was exploited by one person, who thought that he will be able harm us. And we must agree that he succeeded in some degree. All this 6 days we have installing additional security measures. Problem is that usually no one tries to attack free and non-profit-making game servers. That is why we weren't prepared for such problems. We ware really surprised that someone tries to damage a server, which is supported only by enthusiasm of administration, during their free time.Administration will take every measure to prevent this problems happening in future. However in fact any server with any security suites installed couldn't be 100% protected from "Denial of Service" attacks. Nevertheless we hope that this never happen again. > |
