Hi!
I can't connect to hat and i dont know where is problem.
Only information from game is "can't connect to hat. IP or URL can be invalid"
Windows firewall? (enable allods) Switch firewal (on and off - no effect) ??

Do you have any idea to fix it??

This needs to be posted on the Allods2.com English page.

Though, in my case, it still does nothing, and I suspect that I already had that file.
I use the Server menu, enter my login and password (HAT URL box is disabled, *can't* enter www.allods2.net, like the picture in the walkthrough says,) and try to login, and get the same server not found type of message that the thread starter posts.

This is before and after using that file, so something else is missing.

hmm.. I had kinda suspected that, but between not seeing any new news item on Allods2.com about it, and that HAT Status page still lists plenty of people being online, I had ruled that possibility out.

In anycase, either I've got a problem with my install (doubtful) or the walkthrough needs an updated image for the login step that shows that the HAT URL is supposed to be disabled.

While I've got ya here, I've got another possible problem:
I don't have any of the map packs, and I'm not sure if the server will send them to me, or if I have to have them beforehand (I suspect it's the latter)
All of the map links are broken/inaccessible from the English version (haven't checked the russian side)
Will the links be back up when the server is, or is it a separate issue?
If it's separate, any help you can give on getting the maps elsewhere?

Been a long time since I played RoM2, and was quite surprised when I decided to fire it up again and found that there's atleast one active community still around.

You don't need to have the map packs beforehand - in fact, when you log in successfully on the hat and try to enter a map area you don't have, it will be immediately downloaded in your 'maps' directory.

The Hat is currently disabled for all players (technical upgrade or something), but it will be recovered very soon (in the next few hours).

Are you saying that your installation is correct, yet you still cannot login to the Hat? If so, I can help with proper order of file download (from this site) and installation (there are a few tricks which may corrupt your install, if you don't know them).

Good to know about the maps thing. I know a lot of the older games had no support for a server sending a map you didn't have.

As for the login part, should I be getting past the initial login screen, despite the Hat being disabled?
If so, then yea, I've got a problem.
If not, then I'll probably let ya know if I still have problems tomorrow or so, when it should be up, and I'll have enough sleep to be functional ;)
