I see that we have a lot of new players from Turkey and Brazil. I want to help all of you a little.

I know you don't understand English very well either, so I will try to use simple sentences.

First, read the Tutorial. ALL OF IT! Keep reading it again and again because this is the base of the game. Follow the Tutorial's advices. They are very good and have been tested many times.

The things that you cannot read in the tutorial I will write here:

If you need some easy experience and gold for your new mage, raise his base skill (which should be EARTH) to 26, buy a book of Stone Arrow, and go to medium difficulty map Judas. If you go West to the city and then follow the road North - East, you will reach a group of 3 Blue Ogres in the Northern part of the map. They are easy to kill with stone arrow + run tactic, and respawn quickly.

Learn to use the 'L' button. When pressing 'L', your mage immediately stops moving or attacking and starts casting defensive spells (Heal, Shield, Haste, etc). It works even when adjacent to monsters.

It is very important that in your Game Options menu, you have Autocast option set on Medium (never Maximum), and also Autocast should NEVER be set on Ally or Neutral units. If you don't do this, your mage loses a lot of mana, and reveals himself, which is bad since he can be killed.

Learn to 'bind' your spells on hotkeys F4-F12 by using CTRL + F4-F12. Items can also be 'bound' to hotkeys by using SHIFT + F4-F12. Most important spells on hotkeys should be Invisibility, Teleport, Protection from Earth and Wall of Earth. They should be set on most convenient Hotkeys.

Learn to move and hide under Invisibility. Stay Invisible whenever possible. There are certain exceptions from this rule, however.

Your mage with 18 million (or more) experience has to complete quests worth at least 1 million gold as reward to gain potions, that is what tutorial explains. But your mage also needs to have all of his skills to at least 75, and this is not mentioned in the tutorial.

In order to get potions, your mage has to be with less than maximum stats. For example, your mage will never receive Spirit potions as quest reward if his spirit is already 50.

The easiest way for new mages to strenghten the character is by visiting the map called 'Green Land 1.1', which occasionally appears on server 04. In the Center of this map is a quest troll 2(blue) that quickly respawns and has 1 Spirit potion.
The troll starts appearing only when a Dragon 2(green) is killed first. The dragon is positioned a little to the right (->) from the center.

The potions of Spirit must be used (drink) first. Maximum Spirit for a male mage is 50. This will increase your mage's mana and magic resistance. After that, potions can be sold in shop or to other players on other maps. In shop, potions are sold for 500 000 gp. Other players may pay more.

Advice - use PvM server 01 to trade safe without risk of being killed by Player Killers.

There are other ways to gain gold with a mage with no items. Anyway, it is best if you collect money and buy some spell books. After you get all the cheap books (up to FireBall), you need Wall of Fire, next Wall of Earth, then Invisibility, and then collect 30 million for Teleport.

Make sure you raise your Air skill enough so that Invisibility does not wear off in a couple of seconds.

Books of Wall of Fire, Wall of Earth and Invisibility you can buy in almost all starting shops on Hard maps.

When your mage collects 30 million gold, wait for the map called 'Lord of the Rings'. Use invisibility and Haste to sneak to the shop in South-West (Lower Left corner of the map). There is the easiest place to buy a book of Teleport.

And finally (for now): if you want items to help raise skills or gold, make sure the items are cheap and useful. I recommend:

Items which increase sight. The ones that give sight +2 are about 230 000 each.

Items which grant resistance to fire, air or water above 20.

Powerful staves of Lightning (15-30 damage or more) or Life Drain (16-24 damage or more).

And some good and easy to reach shops:

Golden Lands (easy) - shop East sells good and cheap staves.

Empire Border (easy) - druid shop left from start sells some good items, and has very quick item refreshment.

Mysterious Island (PVM) - shop on North-West is guarded, but sells good amulets and bracelets.

Judas (medium) - shop East sells good items for mage, and staves too.

Devastated Castle (medium) - shop on start sells very good and cheap amulets and bracelets.

Oasis (hard) - Shop on North start sells good armor for mage. Shop on Center start sells good and cheap staves.

Tier (hard) - You need teleport to reach that shop safely. Good and relatively cheap shop for a Hard-Horror skilled mage (skills 80 and above).

I forgot to mention something important about items:

First, don't cry over items. If a Player Killer killed you, he won't give your items back. That is why I recommend cheap items.

Think of items as an investment. A couple of cheap items may help you work much more gold. So even if your mage is killed in the end and those items lost, the items have paid off. In addition, some cheap items like those giving Sight can help your mage to run away from Player killers.

Your mage can gain gold and experience even with no items whatsoever, and even if being constantly killed by monsters or Player Killers. Just remember to press alt + f4 after being killed, and NOT spacebar, and return in the game after 5 minutes (this is in the Tutorial as well).

I see that some of you foreign players have made a mage which can go only to Hard and Horror maps. There are some tricks on these maps which may be helpful:

If you need some cheap items, you may try these shops:

Tier south-east
Cursed Waterfall west
Oasis south-west (and also on starting points)

If you need a lot of money, most maps have some sort of trick. For example:

Lord of the Rings southwest is an empty town with respawning corpses. If you have the spell 'Raise Dead', then you can summon many zombies from the corpses, put them around the tavern in two complete circles, and then enter the tavern and take the quest 'summon and bring back to inn * zombies', where * is a random number. In all cases, the reward for this quest will be 16 million gold pieces, but only if you make 2 complete rows of zombies around the tavern before taking the quest.

The map called Tier is good for bringing messages to taverns. Just use Raise Dead spell to place spirits in convenient locations in order to teleport quickly. You may even ask for vision the other players, maybe some of them have already placed spirits.

Of course, the more your mage experience is, the more gold (2% from overall experience) you will get for bringing messages, so raise your experience to at least 30-35 million before you go to Tier to earn money.

The map called 'Middle' is very much like Tier - good for bringing messages from inn to inn.

The maps 'Terra Mortis' and 'Turtle Beach' are basically good for raising skills and experience. You can earn gold there, but very little in comparison to Middle, Tier or Lord of the Rings maps.

On Terra Mortis is a good dragon 4 interception quest in the eastern inn. Reward is 5 million gold. In order to get this quest, you need just one skill to be 93. You can improve your skill with an item and still get the quest.

Example: your mage has Earth skill 83 (and other skills are below 75). He wants to pick this quest. He equips an item which gives +10 to Earth skill and then he will be given this quest. If the dragon hasn't been killed already, of course.

There is a similar dragon 4 interception quest on Turtle Beach in center-eastern inn but reward is only 2.5 million gold.

There is a good troll + succubus kill quest in the south-east tavern on Tier map, but it can be received only if one of your skills is in the interval 103-113. The good thing about this quest is that the troll + succubus have short respawning time and are easier to kill than a dragon 4. Reward is 1 million gold.

On the map called 'Haven' (horror) is a shop in the northeastern tavern. It sells dragon leather armor for a warrior, and you can buy your first body +2 items for a warrior from this shop. Dragon leather is much cheaper than crystal, so it is better to first equip your warriors in dragon leather body +2 items.

On the map called 'Crossroads of Mystery' is a good shop in the north-eastern part of the map. There you can find all sorts of armor for a warrior, and also decent weapon. Crystal body +2 items are rare in this shop, but it's quite possible to buy. Spears and other weapons with Stone Curse can also be bought here.

On the map called Jungle Trolls there is a good shop in the centre of the map, with both good (but expensive) mage, and good (still cheap) warrior items.

You can buy 'Stone Curse' spell for a mage from the Jack of Death central shop, but it is heavily guarded. My advice is - ask for help on this map, to show you how to visit the shop. This shop has also good items for a warrior, including powerful weapons (spears).

Yes, but right now, you all first have to learn how:

To provide your newly created characters with large supply of potions (This is written in the Tutorial)
To earn a lot of money

This can be done on quest maps Hard or Horror. With a mage with overall experience more than 35 million, and the spell Raise Dead, you may put spirits close to each of the taverns of the Tier map and on some mid jump-points, so that you can bring messages from tavern to tavern in practically 2 teleports. This will be rewarded with a large sum of money - and if you keep doing this, you will earn much more money per hour than, for example, you would earn if you kill necromancers on Terra Mortis.

The good maps for bringing messages or 'posting' in Allods2 slang are:

Tier
Middle
M.A.D.P

These are all hard maps. On Hard maps your mage's overall experience is insufficient for the reward to be more than 930 000 gold, so you cannot earn potions on hard maps by 'posting'. You will need to go to Horror maps to do this.

Horror maps are much more tougher. But the map called Autumn is relatively easy for 'posting' and assembling large quantities of potions. However, there are many warriors who would kill you for your potions, so be careful.
You may also earn gold on horror maps, and it will be much more than on Hard maps. A maximum experienced mage (about 69 million xp) earns 1 378 000 gold per one message delivered.

The other Horror maps which can be used for 'posting' are Crossroads of Mystery and Heaven.

In many cases, other players have already established their spirits around the taverns and are busy 'posting' themselves. If you give them vision, and they see you are no threat (a mage), then they may give you vision in return, and all you must do is use their spirits for 'posting'.

Items which increase your Astral skill are invaluable while 'posting' - they increase your Teleport range. But you can post without them as well - you will simply earn much less money/potions. In this case, Items with Astral Skill + are wise investment, even if you are killed eventually.

When I see that some of you have earned lots of money (about 1 milliard gold each) and have made themselves a warrior character with all stats fully buffed (body 52, agility 50, mind 48 and spirit 46) then I will go to the next step - how to make a warrior, how not to be killed right away, and what can a powerful warrior do.

And yes, I am not disregarding the question about 'other quest items'. But these quest items in most cases can be obtained only by a powerful warrior. And you still have much work to do to that moment.
